Scattering diamonds in the sky, dumping rocks into the ocean, and creating giant algal blooms may seem like wild ideas, but these are just some of the options scientists are exploring. Are these ideas possible? Unclear. Could they be dangerous? Absolutely. But they might just also be necessary.
