Dr Ruth Pye is a research veterinarian with the Tasmanian devil immunology research group at Menzies Institute for Medical Research. Ruth will talk about why it matters that devils are endangered, the current state of the devil population, provide updates on Devil Facial Tumour Disease (DFTD) vaccine development.
Threatened Species Day is held on 7 September every year marking the day in 1936 when the last Tasmanian Tiger died in Hobart.
