The Larger Conversation- Whose History?

The Tasmanian Writer’s Centre is excited to be presenting well-known Tasmanian writer and 2013 Victorian Premiers Literary Award winner, Henry Reynolds in conversation with Patsy Cameron.

The Larger Conversations is chaired by UTAS Distinguished Professor of Philosophy, Jeff Malpas and will explore the synergies between science and the humanities.The audience is invited to participate in this thought-provoking conversation with a uniquely Tasmanian focus.
Jeff Malpas founded the UTAS Centre for Applied Philosophy and Ethics and is the author or editor of 21 books. He has published over 100 scholarly articles on topics in philosophy, art, architecture and geography.
Patsy Cameron, originally from Flinders Island, now lives on her ancestral lands in north-eastern Tasmania. Patsy has been active in Tasmanian Aboriginal affairs and education since the early 1970s.
Henry Reynolds is Honorary Research Professor at UTAS and the author of 20 books, many of which have won major literary prizes. His best known works include two directly relating to Tasmania, Fate of a Free People and the more recent A History of Tasmania and Forgotten War, for which he received the recent Victorian Premiers Literary Award.
