Questacon Science Educator Workshops

Join Questacon in Burnie for a pair of workshops targeted towards STEM educators!

STEM Educator Community of Practice – Northern Tasmania

17th September, 3-5.30pm, The Makers Technology and Innovation Hub, Burnie

Are you a Tasmanian STEM educator with an interest in building your networks with other educators?  With the support of local teachers, Questacon has established the Tasmanian STEM network and is hosting regular meetings across the south and north of the state.

You’ll hear from local educators sharing effective, classroom-tested STEM practices, connect with your Questacon Regional Leader, and dive into a hands-on activity you can take straight back to your students. You’ll also explore practical ways to extend and enrich your teaching alongside peers. In this workshop, discover how Questacon’s Bytewise exhibition can support engaging, hands-on learning, plus try out Internet of Things devices and other innovative technologies, demonstrated by teachers who use them every day in the classroom.
