Questacon Bytewise Travelling Exhibition

Think Smart. Play Bold. Discover More.

Come curious. Leave empowered.

Bytewise is Questacon’s hands‑on travelling exhibition that brings the power of mathematics and computer science to life. Through playful challenges and interactive experiences, explore programming, patterns, logic, geometry and problem solving – no prior knowledge required.

From counting in binary and cracking codes, to testing sorting algorithms and designing a computer that works without electricity, Bytewise reveals how computational thinking shapes our everyday world. Visit the exhibition to build, rotate, compare, experiment and play your way through concepts that underpin modern technology.

Designed for all ages, Bytewise sparks curiosity, builds confidence and demystifies how computers think. With strong links to the Australian Curriculum – especially mathematics and digital technologies – it’s an inspiring experience for learners, families and educators alike.
