Philosophy in the Pub is a regular opportunity for members of the Launceston community to meet and discuss, in some depth, a philosophical topic of their own choosing. The event is hosted by philosophers from UTAS as part of the university’s ongoing engagement with the broader Tasmanian community.
This month we will examine the philosophy of time. Discussion will include consideration of the subjectivity and objectivity of time, the arrow of time and the possibility of time travel, among other things.
