March for Forests – Hobart

Across Australia, native forest logging is ripping ancient trees from the earth and razing critical wildlife habitat to the ground – killing endangered species like the Koala, Greater Glider, Tasmanian Devil and Swift Parrots.

Adding financial insult to ecological injury, each year, Australia’s taxpayers are paying millions of dollars in subsidies for native forest destruction and the loss of critical carbon stocks.

Enough is enough. It’s time for Tasmania’s next government to protect native forests, once and for all.
Australia-wide on 24 March, we have marches around the country. With a state election on 23 March, Hobart is going early!

Add your voice to the roar of the crowd calling on our leaders for an Australia-wide end to native forest logging. To protect threatened species, for climate resilience and for our communities’ future.

In 2023, we rallied 5,000 people on the streets for native forests – now, let’s make this year’s events even bigger, and March for Forests in March 2024!
