Life in the Wetlands: an open conversation

Wetlands are dynamic ecosystems with complex relationships between the many organisms that live within them. They are productive and resilient landscapes adapted to saltwater and tides at the coast through to ice and snow in the alpine plateaus.

Join us to discover the different perspectives on the wetlands globally and in the Tasmanian context.

First, visit the exhibition at the Museum, Inveresk and then hear from Dean Greeno pakana, artist, sculptor and climate researcher; Dr Vishnu Prahalad, UTAS Senior Lecturer in Physical Geography, Geography, Planning & Spatial Sciences; Karen Palmer, UTAS PhD candidate incoastal oceanography; Dr Rebecca Kelly, Director, isNRM Pty Ltd.; Kathryn Pugh, Manager Parks and Sustainability at the City of Launceston as they share their responses to the Exhibition Wetlands and their view on the wetlands nature of culture.
