The larapuna/Bay of Fires Community Weekend is held in the far North East of Tasmania between The Gardens and Mt William National Park. In four days, the invasive weed sea spurge is surveyed, mapped and removed by volunteers, along with marine debris encountered, along more than 60km of coastline.
Sunday 4th August – Policeman’s Point to The Gardens
Friday 16th August – covers the coast from Deep Creek to wukalina/Mt William NP
Saturday 17th August – two groups converge at Eddystone Point, one covers the coast from Deep Creek, the other from Ansons Bay. Cultural and heritage activities at Eddystone Point Lighthouse, BBQ dinner.
Sunday 18th August – Abbotsbury Beach
