Kids Love Science @ Love Living Locally Festival

Budding rocket scientists, chemists, entomologists, electrical engineers, robotics experts and plant DNA scientists are needed for this year’s Love Living Locally festival. The Kids Love Science program is packed full of ‘hands on’ activities for children to learn about and experience a range of science based activities.
This year the popular (and yummy) Liquid Nitrogen Ice Cream returns. Sonya and Sonita will show you how milk, cream, sugar and vanilla combine to become the most delicious ice cream with the addition of liquid nitrogen. If defying gravity is more your style, Pascal will help children to make some bottle rockets which will be launched at various times throughout the event. InfraReady Robotics will also be there with their robot soccer field and Lego robots. Other activities include slime making; extracting DNA from strawberries; bug, leaf and scat identification; squishy circuits and learning about human anatomy.
Liquid Nitrogen Icecream: 11am, 12.30pm and 2pm
Bottle Rocket Launches: 10.30am, 12 noon and 2.30pm
All other activities running 10am -3pm!
