Junee Florentine Karst Excursion

Alan Jackson will lead an excursion to the Junee Florentine karst area.
The excursion is intended to show the physical side of the talk on Tuesday 19th January, but each event is a stand-alone item. Attendees will need to provide their own transport, lunch and refreshments.
The Junee Florentine has a magnificent example of stream capture, where streams running down the northern sides of Mt Field West do not reach the Florentine River, but go under the ridge and emerge at the Junee resurgence, near Maydena.
This event is only open to members of the Royal Society. New members are always welcome however so please get in touch if you’d like to join us!
We will meet outside the Maydena School at 8:30 a.m. Please bring a full tank of fuel, lunch, water, good walking boots, warm and waterproof clothing and good fitness are required.
Please register your interest in the karst talk and/or excursion HERE.
