Exhibition of Experimental Artworks

Original resin artworks by Dr Andrew Grosse and paintings by his daughter Taly Hamilton will be on display at the University of Tasmania, Sandy Bay campus. The resin works are of an experimental nature, utilising many novel and rare dyes and pigments. The unique behaviour of the colourants in this medium permits an astonishing intensity of colour, and highly detailed features can be captured with clarity in three dimensions. It’s science, and art!

Local art legend and all-around raconteur Wayne Brookes will deliver an introductory ramble at 11:00 am. Live hippies may also be in attendance, but tie dyes are not mandatory.

Guests may also choose to purchase Tea, Coffee, and other snacks from the Staff Club, conveniently located next-door. We ask all guests to please stay COVID-safe and maintain appropriate social distancing. All visitors will be temperature scanned on entry, following UTAS site policy – please do not attend if you feel unwell.
