GreenSTEM Ignite launches with a special National Science Week school presentation by Australia’s favourite science communicator, Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, with almost 400 students from schools across North West Tasmania attending this exclusive event.

Dr Karl Live in Burnie – Burnie Arts Centre
Presented in collaboration with Beaker Street Festival and the University of Tasmania, this public event gives the wider community the opportunity to experience Dr Karl live during National Science Week.

Space & Dinosaurs: The Cosmic Story of You – The Makers, Burnie | 4:30 pm
Presented by renowned science communicators Sally Hurst (palaeontologist and fossil educator) and Dr Jack Nibbs (astrophysicist), this free youth workshop explores the incredible connections between dinosaurs, fossils, space and our place in the universe through engaging, hands-on STEM experiences.
