Artists and scientists are more alike than different- both strive to understand and describe the world around us. Crossing the Divide: Homeward Bound is a collection of paintings, prints, sculptures and jewellery drawn from artists working primarily in STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Medicine) related fields. These artists are ‘Crossing the Divide’.
The artists in Crossing the Divide share one more thing in common. They are all women. This exhibition aims to raise awareness of gender equity issues and funds for the Homeward Bound program, which aims to heighten the influence and impact of women in STEMM to influence the policy and decision-making that shapes our planet.
