Bush Adventures Winter Program

The Hobart City Council is pleased to offer another Bush Adventures Winter program jam packed with science and environment events for all ages.
Winter is a wonderful time to appreciate our beautiful temperate environment, and if you’re lucky, see some snow! The youngest Bush Kids will be spread from Fern Tree’s rainforest for Flora the Explorer’s Rainforest Ramble to Sandy Bay for Stories and Sandcastles, while older Bush Kids will be heading off for Bush Adventures across all of Hobart.
Adults can have the opportunity to slip into their gumboots for a Fungi Foray, or enjoy a cuppa while listening to our science seminars indoors. The last weekend of July, Bush Adventures will be teaming up with Bushcare to celebrate National Tree Day, so join us at Wellesley Park for a free native plant giveaway and kids games.
In August, we’re participating in National Science Week, so join us at the Festival of Bright Ideas, and send your budding Bush Kid scientists to Science Sunday to really get their hands dirty! This Winter boasts a full program of activities that the whole family can enjoy, from getting up and personal with Real Live Reptiles, to discovering Where our Wild Things are in the bushland at night, to enjoying a Dogs’ Breakfast with your furry friends on the beach.
