Australian Timber Design Workshop

Experience cutting-edge timber design and construction at the Australian Timber Design Workshop, a two-week learning by making event at the UTAS School of Architecture & Design.  Online lectures and learning resources outlining the design brief, timber material characteristics and other precedents will be provided to participants.  Use of 3D modeling and computer controlled fabrication tools are encouraged alongside traditional carpentry approaches.
The ATDW provides practicing and undergraduate building design professionals with an opportunity to learn hands- on about the cutting edge use of timber in design and construction. The program specifically caters to undergraduate architecture and engineering students, building design professionals, and timber industry practitioners.
