Nominations are now open!
With many events already well underway, we are pleased to mark the beginning of this National Science Week by opening nominations for the 2026 Tasmanian Stem Excellence Awards.
Since 2016, STEM X has been celebrating the researchers, innovators, teachers and science communicators of our island state. If you know someone you think deserves recognition for their impact on you or others in STEM, nominate them for a STEM X category before Sunday 27th September.
Categories include:
- The Premier’s Tasmanian STEM Researcher of the Year
- The Minister’s Tasmanian STEM Innovation of the Year
- The Tasmanian STEM Early Career Researcher of the Year
- The Tasmanian STEM Primary Teacher of the Year
- The Tasmanian STEM Secondary Teacher of the Year
- The Tasmanian STEM Communicator of the Year
