Ms Zoe Nanuma Kean, Tas
Bio:
Zoe Kean has a long-time love of science. She joined the ABC as the Darren Osborne regional science cadet in 2019 and has since become an award-winning science journalist. Based at ABC Radio Hobart, she tells stories from Tasmania and beyond.
Her writing has been included ‘The Best Australian Science Writing’ and she was a co-author of the anthology in 2025. She has also written a book on evolutionary biology ‘Why Are We Like This’.
Zoe is also a regular guest across local and national ABC radio. You can follow her on social media where she posts as Zoe_Kean_Sci.
