“That’s What I Call Science”, the Tasmanian science radio program, has been recognised at the 2023 Australian Museum Eureka Prizes, Australia’s most high-profile science awards.
This year, the awards recognised 19 individuals and teams across the categories of Research & Innovation, Leadership, Science Engagement and School Science.
The Department of Industry, Science and Resources Eureka Prize for STEM Inclusion went to the Tasmania based radio show and podcast, “That’s What I Call Science”.
The show reaches over 10,000 people a week with programming designed to increase representation of diverse voices in STEMM. Since 2019, they’ve given the science community a platform to upskill and create engaging and accessible content for a breadth of listeners.
Congratulations to this volunteer team for their hard work increasing inclusion in science.
