Maker Projects: Community STEM Engagement grants NOW OPEN

Community STEM engagement grants support science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)-related organisations and businesses to partner with communities, other businesses and STEM experts to deliver STEM-related initiatives to Australian youth.

The grants aim to bring STEM to youth around Australia, including those that have been underrepresented in STEM. Initiatives will foster creativity and inquiry-based learning in young Australians that could include hands-on workshops and maker activities, travelling to regional Australia to deliver robotics workshops, as well as other activities that foster young Australians’ STEM skills, build their confidence and encourage them to pursue STEM studies and careers.

Who can apply? STEM-related organisations and businesses collaborating with other businesses, communities and STEM experts.

What can I apply for? Competitive, merit-based grants to deliver year-round hands-on STEM initiatives that benefit young Australians.

How much can I apply for? The minimum grant is $20 000 and the maximum is $100 000 for projects up to two years in duration.

When do I apply? Applications open 14 January 2020 and close 19 February 2020.
